Good-to-Know

information

  • Do you have animals?
  • Are you a smoker?
  • Is there anyone else living in your space with you?
  • What supplies do you currently have to support the project (garbage bags, boxes, containers, etc.)

Our Professional Organizers will come to your space, introduce themselves, and start to get to know you, which will take about 30 minutes. Then, they’ll ask to see the space to be organized and discuss what to tackle first.  We call this “Talk & Tour.”  Sometimes the area you thought you wanted to start with turns out to be less of a priority once the session begins. That’s OK!  We’re flexible.  You are in the driver’s seat and our Organizers will work with you to get it done in a way that’s comfortable for you.

The key to organizing success is regular, ongoing maintenance of your systems.  Let’s Get Organized recommends a schedule of monthly organizing sessions to keep things on track. As with any new system or lifestyle change, it is common for a Client to experience “backsliding,” that is, reverting to old habits.  This is completely normal, expected, and acceptable.  We will work together to find the right technique to make the new habits “stick.”

Our Professional Organizers are very skilled at estimating the number of sessions a project will require. However, a project can take on a life of its own and things can change, requiring additional sessions or time.  Since we are your partner in the project, our Organizers will keep you informed about timelines.

As a rule of thumb, Let’s Get Organized conservatively estimates one (1) to two (2) full sessions per room to organize your home.  If fewer sessions are required, you would be billed for only the sessions actually worked.

Yes, you do. It’s important that we do this together.  Questions will come up and decisions will need to be made that Let’s Get Organized can’t do without you.

Let’s Get Organized works diligently throughout each organizing session, keeping the pace and focus of our time together.  We will build in necessary break time. If the Client desires a break during the session, we will continue to advance the progress of your project in your absence.

Absolutely – but only if they will be a support to you and the project. If they are a distraction, it’s best to honor the time you’ve set aside for yourself and meet up with them later.

Let’s Get Organized will do as much of the physical part of the session as possible, being careful not to strain beyond its physical limitations.  Especially strenuous or heavy work may require the assistance of a third party.

We take all precautions to protect the health and safety of our team, our clients, and other service providers who may be working on site at a client location.  Precautions include but are not limited to wearing appropriate PPE – masks, gloves, anything else needed, frequent temperature screenings, getting vaccinated, and quarantining for 14 days if there has been any risk of exposure.  We reserve the right to not accept an engagement where there is a risk of COVID exposure.

Absolutely not. It’s important for us to see your space as it really is. This helps us determine the systems and supports we will utilize throughout the project.

No, you do not. All of our Professional Organizers are responsible for providing their own food and water throughout the sessions.  Note: We respect our clients’ dietary traditions and restrictions.  Our Organizers may step outside of your home or office to eat.

LGO will introduce you to your PO, who will call you to discuss the project and give you some information about their professional background. You and your PO will schedule your first session for a mutually agreed-upon date and time.

Yes. LGO maintains at least $1 million in general liability coverage.  Evidence of coverage can be furnished upon written request.

LGO has a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Our preferred method of payment is via credit card.  LGO requires full payment of your first session prior to commencing work.  Payment is due upon receipt of the Letter of Agreement and Credit Card Authorization form in order for LGO to confirm your engagement and schedule your date(s) with an LGO Professional Organizer.  Subsequent session fees will be charged to the credit card on file immediately after each session.
